This is just a basic introduction to a sketch character that didn't really pan out, although (like several other characters) Rental does appear in one or two other sketches.

INT. CONCERT HALL/BACKSTAGE

RENTAL IS SITTING IN FRONT OF A LARGE AMPLIFIER DRESSED IN TYPICAL ROCK-FAN T-SHIRT AND JEANS, SMOKING A CIGARETTE.

RENTAL IS IN HIS FIFTIES, WITH AN UNKEMPT GREY BEARD AND PONY-TAIL.

RENTAL: (TO CAMERA)
Cheeky girls! Can you believe it? The bloody cheeky girls! Thirty three years in the business and where do I spend my last days as a roadie? Cranking up the treble for a couple of anorexic drag-queens! It's a disgrace! Touch my bum? Kiss my arse - I'm a living legend!
