Semantics

INT. CIRCUS RING.

IN THE RING THERE IS A TABLE CONTAINING SEVERAL NOVELTY CUSTARD PIES.

SITTING ON THE FLOOR BY THE TABLE IS A CLOWN WITH A BROKEN NOSE, BLOOD STAINS ON HIS LIPS, CHIN AND HANDS AS HE SITS NURSING HIS INJURY.

STANDING BESIDES THE INJURED CLOWN IS A SECOND CLOWN AND THE RING-MASTER.

THE SECOND CLOWN LOOKS GUILTY AND ASHAMED AS THE RING-MASTER SHOUTS AT HIM.

RING-MASTER:
I said a pie in the face! Not a pastie!

FADE OUT.
